Glenn Kaufhold

For more than 20 years, Glenn has been a non-profit entrepreneur, building or fixing fundraising and marketing departments.  It all started in Boston in 1990, when he was hired as the very first Director of Development & Alumni Relations at the Boston University School of Dental Medicine.  During his tenure, he had the extraordinary opportunity to co-found and direct Special Athletes/Special Smiles, a national oral health initiative created in partnership with Eunice Kennedy Shriver and Special Olympics International.

That experience gave way to becoming Director of Development and Marketing at Fenway Health, one of the nation’s premier community health centers, and Vice President of Development & Marketing for The Medical Foundation.

In 2003 he took off for the warm weather of South Florida, and joined Florida International University as the Associate Director for Development & Marketing at The Wolfsonian, the Museum of Thinkism, located in the heart of South Beach. After building the program there, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Corporate & Foundation Relations in the university’s central advancement department.

His biggest start-up operation to date came in 2007 when he became Executive Director & CEO of the Miami Dade College Foundation, the fundraising and alumni relations partner of the largest institution of higher education in the country.

Glenn holds a B.A. in English from Montclair State University and has volunteer experience with Snappy Dance Theater (past president); New World School of the Arts (board member); Tigertail Productions (board member); SAVE-Dade Foundation (vice chair); Leave A Legacy-Miami; Association of Fundraising Professionals; and the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
