Robert S. Angel is the founder and President of Kingfisher Healthcare ConsultingLLC. Established in 2009 the firm is focused on the international healthcare
industry. Prior to its launch, Angel was President and CEO of HuntleighHealthcare LLC., the US subsidiary of Huntleigh Technology PLC, a publicly traded company on the London Stock Exchange for ten years. Previous to joiningHuntleigh (UK) in 1997 as Group Marketing Director, Angel was Chief Executive Officer of The Luton and Dunstable Hospital NHS Trust, a large public hospital in the UK National Health System. Beginning his career as a Registered Nurse in
England, Angel gained diverse industry knowledge through various roles whilst working for Medtronic Incorporated (UK) and Baxter International (UK, Europe,
Middle East, US & Canada).
During his tenure as President and CEO of Huntleigh Healthcare LLC., Angel directed increased investments for the parent company in the US, as evidenced by the establishment of a manufacturing division, a national rental operation, and various synergistic company acquisitions (revenues more than doubled during this time and profit targets were consistently met). Due to his accomplishments in creating a strong US operation, Angel was appointed to the Board of Directors of the parent company in 2001, where he served until the company was acquired in 2007. He is acknowledged as an outstanding business leader.
A committed community volunteer, Angel served on the board of Headway, a UK not-for-profit organization dedicated to those with acquired brain injury and in early 2008 joined the Board of Directors of California based Napa Valley Hospice & Adult Day Services. His leadership in fundraising, strategic business planning, management and healthcare has provided an important benefit.
