Kate Goodrich

Kate Goodrich is an experienced professional specializing in direct response fundraising for annual and capital campaigns. She began her non-profit career at world-renowned Massachusetts General Hospital, where she had the good fortune to be mentored for seven years in direct mail writing and production.  Kate has devoted much of her subsequent efforts in service to social justice and social service causes, including Oxfam International, Community Resources for Justice/The Crime & Justice Institute, and the Greater Boston Food Bank.

Through strong copywriting and donor response analytics skills, she has also strengthened the Annual Fund programs at medical institutions such as New England Baptist Hospital, an orthopedic specialty hospital to Boston’s sports teams, and Harvard-affiliated Schepens Eye Research Institute.

In addition to her track record in acquiring, retaining and upgrading donors through direct mail and email appeal strategies, Kate has managed large-scale gift processing and acknowledgement operations to provide high-level donor stewardship, and has played a key role in two major donor database software conversions.

Kate has written and produced numerous annual reports, newsletters, brochures, and telemarketing scripts aimed at fostering donor loyalty and deepening engagement.  She holds a degree in Romance Languages from Denison University in Ohio.

Consulting clients have included Perkins School for the Blind, World Neighbors, Dorchester Community Roundtable, Ballet Theatre of Boston, and Advaita Meditation Center.  In 2012 Kate enjoined her expertise with Brimhall & Associates.
