Susan Webber

Susan Webber has had over 30 years experience in broad-based, comprehensive, strategic planning, fundraising, Board relations, public affairs, community relations, communications and institutional advancement activities. Her consulting projects typically blend advising/coaching/mentoring and hands-on implementation, working in partnership with clients.

Webber held increasingly responsible positions at Combined Jewish Philanthropies, Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, Germaine Lawrence and most recently served as Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Pine Manor College.  In addition to her full time employment, she has consulted with numerous non-profit organizations including The Neighborhood of Affordable Housing, The Writers Express, Teen Voices, Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly, Rocky Neck Art Colony, American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts, Medical Science Associates, Hostelling International-New England, Newbury College, Yes We Must Coalition and The Women’s Educational and Industrial Union.  She joined Brimhall & Associates in 2012.

Her consulting work has included all aspects of fundraising including feasibility studies, annual and capital campaigns, grantwriting, foundation relations, special events, alumnae relations and Board development.  She has created and sustained major donor programs as well as adjunct Boards, and specializes in working with small and medium sized shops, mentoring staff and creating and developing a base of support for the organization.

In addition to her professional experience, Webber has served as a Board or adjunct board member for a variety organizations including the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus (where she served as President for three years), National Women’s Political Caucus, Ford Hall Forum (Chair, Development Committee), Massachusetts Alliance on Teen Pregnancy (Chair, Nominating Committee), Germaine Lawrence Corporation, and the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts Board of Visitors.  She has done Board training for several non-profit organizations and has presented at the Association of Fundraising Professionals (Massachusetts) Annual Conference.

Webber received a BA in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Babson College, and is based in the Boston area.
